Zvezda 1/144 Boeing 787-8 Japan Airlines

So, I wanted the new Boeing, and I got it
Which actually is the same as this one...
Literally the same... Revell and Zvezda made them in cooperation... just changed the box...
The Boeing 787 was a risky decision by the company... The fuselage was completelly made in carbon fibre reinforced plastic...Wings also. Airbus did try to follow, but made a conventional metal airframe, and used the carbon fiber pannels, but Boeing, made everything in one piece... Join to that the Lithium batteries, and it could have gone terribly wrong... But it didn't. Reliability is yet to be confirmed, but it is the Boeing with less maintenance costs ever. And its elegant too!

About the kit, simply perfect. Easy to glue, nice tight fit.
Engines are very well detailed, the turbine blades are fragile, but look astonishing! landing gear flawlessly detailed.
Everywhere you look, it looks nice! absolutelly amazing. It has recessed panels, but the line is thin enough not to look exagerate. In fact, it almost disappears, as it should! This airplane is the best of the best when we talk on aerodynamics.

The wingtips where designed to lower the drag, they don't look just amazing.
But there is a catch... The original house painting is hard to do properly. Very hard. There should be the masks to do so, because even with aftermarked decals, they look bad... And that was one of the reason for printing the JAL decals, and make it simple and elegant. So, if you're buying one of these, think on buying aftermarked decals... Besides that, nothing else to add.
