Revell 1/144 Airbus A310 White Airways

So, I wanted the shorter brother of the A300... And I ended up having 2! but only the one from the interflug survived... They are the same kit, one only has the wingtips extra, while the other one has decals just like the ones from the A300 from Airfix... Kinda bad...

When Airbus designed the A300 it had at least 10 extra designs... Some shorter, some longer, 2 engines, 4 engines, wide body, narrow body... They were all the upcoming models. They were already ready to do a shorter one, the A310, which was an A300 with less sections and some small upgrades. The wingtips were one of those upgrades. As a longer range airliner, it became sucessfull and profitable. As a matter of fact, it was a nice one.

I've bought this because I wanted to do the White Airways version... I had a friend of mine that was a flight attendant on this one, and I thought it would be funny! The colour scheme is actualy simple and sober. Not that hard to do. This model is actually easy to build. Not many histories about it... Landing gear is nice, not too much detail, but not too less... Of course, it can allways get better if you use some wires to simulate the braking line...

This one has some raised panel lines, which is not so good...
But, overall, its a nice model... You can make many versions of it, or even fill in the windows and make a freighter, which is still in use. The only bad thing is that it is quite rare right now, and you'll have to pay almost as much as 3 times as you would for another more recent airliner... One day, we'll run out of them... So, take a look and if you find one at a good price, take it. It can be fun to build.
